AYC was founded in 1886 as an informal canoe club. Today, the Club’s mission is to encourage and support a wide range of boating activities and to maintain facilities for the recreational and social use of its 2000+ members.

The Annapolis Yacht Club is a full service, year-round Club with three facilities on its campus:  The Main Clubhouse with two levels of dining and event space and is located on the City of Annapolis side of the Spa Creek Bridge.  A short walk across the bridge you’ll find our two Eastport properties. The Activity Center with dining and bar service, a fitness center and pool.

Across the street is our Sailing Center, which houses the Club’s Administrative offices, the Junior Sailing Program, the Waterfront and Dock staff and our active, one design sail yard.  The Sailing Center stores 65+ member owned one design racing keelboats, the Club’s 14 Sonars, a gin pole and a large number of hard chine and inflatable assets to assist with the racing and junior programs.  The Sailing Center has a large event space that hosts numerous regatta parties as well as classroom use for adult and junior education.   All three buildings have in-water slips for member boats.
